Melissa Joan Walker has focused on teaching Composition and Critical Reading at several institutions including Roosevelt University and St. Augustine College. She has a wide range of experience working with diverse populations including adult learners, English Language Learners and first generation college students.

She holds an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
